Summer Events
Here is a run down of what's happening at The Climbing Works during the summer holidays, for young climbers aged 7 -17 years old.
3 Day courses
Beginners
For those with little or no climbing experience, these 3 day courses are a great introduction to the sport of bouldering. Participants will learn basic climbing technique, balance, strength and how to keep themselves and others safe while climbing.
7 - 13 year olds
3rd - 5th August
10th - 12th August

Intermediates
For regular users of any climbing wall, these 3 day courses will go into more advance techniques, working on problem solving, strength and balance exercises in order to get participants climbing at the next level of difficulty.

Taster Sessions
Beginners
7 - 13 year olds
A one-off session packed full of climbing, games
and challenges.

14 - 17 year olds: Junior inductions
For beginner climbers who want to become junior
members of The Climbing Works and be able to
climb whenever they want without an instructor.
Ideal for people working towards Duke of
Edinburgh and GCSE - PE
Every Friday in August 2.30pm - 4.00pm
£15 per person
Family Taster Sessions
Try something new with your family and friends.
Each session is tailored to meet the needs of each
family .
Every Monday in August - book a slot:

Min age : 7 years
Min: 3 climbers Max: 6 climbers
Price £50 total (includes entrance fee, shoe hire
for all participants and one instructor)
Regular Weekly Sessions
Ideal for beginner or one - off taster sessions
Mondays 4.30pm - 5.30pm (7 - 9 year olds)
Tuesdays 4.30pm - 5.30pm (7 - 13 year olds)
Fridays 4.00pm - 5.00pm (10 - 13 year olds)
Saturdays 9.30am - 10.30am (7 - 9 year olds)
£8 per session per head
Or book 4 sessions in August at £7 per session per head
Ideal for intermediate or advanced climbers
Monday 5.30pm - 7.00pm (7- 13 year olds)
Fridays 5.00pm - 6.30pm (10 -13 year olds)
Saturdays 10.30am - 12.00pm (7 - 13 year olds)

Young Climbers Festival
Thursday 26th 9.15am - 12.00pm
The highlight of the summer will be our "young Climbers Festival"
Everyone who participates in our regular kids clubs or weekly and 3 day courses through out the summer holidays will be invited to our "Young Climbers Festival" There will be mini competitions for all ages and abilities, lots of prizes available for different categories and everyone who participates will receive a Climbing works Young Climbers Festival t-shirt.
Entrance fee £20 per competitor
Bookings for the young climbers festival must be in before the 15th August
